Improv Comedy

We are most famous, and we recommend every program starts with Improv Comedy. Our residency recreates our popular classes in Times Square NYC at your school.

Improv is a powerful tool for all walks of life. In the corporate world we use it to train teams, leaders, sales and customer service skills. We have worked with fortune 500 executive teams, sales managers at Louis Vuitton and accountants at IS Medicare Medicaid, plus lawyers, marketing, sales, car dealerships, financial services and more. Clients include Google, Mercedes Benz, META /Facebook, TikTok, JP Morgan Chase, Accenture, Morgan Stanley, Twitter, Roblox, Rimowa, EI Digital, Accenture, Datadog HQ, Milbank, BING/Microsoft, Band of America – Merrill Lynch, Home Depot, Ernst & Young, Johnson & Johnson, Louis Vuitton, Coach, UBS, BDO, AMEX, Master Card, Macy’s, 360i, IBM, GM, Kraft, UNILEAVER, HBO, Prudential, Convene, Conference Board and many more…

For students , Improv and other comedy training IS Social Emotional Learning (SEL). Simply playing improv games develops creativity, critical thinking, public speaking, listening, focus, self-confidence, self-awareness and more.

For our company, Improv is a final step. Since 2002, we have performed 8000+ interactive improv comedy shows live from Times Square NYC and touring nationwide. For most improvisation is a meana to an end. Writers of Sketch comedy, sitcoms and most animated programming, use improv to find the funny in their scripts. Stand-Up comics use improv to enhance their writing process, too. And as stated above, Improv is a powerful skill in all walks of life. We even have fun professional development workshops for teachers.

Stand-Up Comedy Classes

Again, this class works great as a stand alone program but following a basic improv training, infinitely powerful.

Our Stand-Up comedy class is a series of simple writing prompts and stage time to develop original comedy routines. We start with basic brainstorming of ideas and details to flesh out stories from our personal experiences and observations. Then we learn to find the funny and turn into original stand-up sets. Every student will have 2-3 minutes or more of material.

Beyond comedy, this process can be used to create any presentation, in any field.

Sketch Comedy

Finally, our third offering, Sketch Comedy. Sketch comedy classes are a gateway to classical literature, playwriting, screenwriting and more. Every student will collaborate to write an original sketch. Along the way we discover:

  1. Study the history of comedy, from Ancient Greece thru early TV and Radio.
  2. Learn to write an original short play via brain storming exercises, collaboration, first drafts and rewrites, and a final script.
  3. Learn to produce and perform live show and video.
